Over the last 18+ years I have averaged around 20 sessions per week. This, scarily, works out to be over 14000 clients. That’s lots of experience with all sorts of people from all walks of life. Then there is the kids, pets and all the personalities rolled in. I am quite used to working with ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s etc. and know that every session is different and needs approaching in a unique way. Get in touch with any queries you have.

I have a degree in Contemporary lens media (photography) from the University of Lincoln, graduating in 2005. I have worked in this industry since leaving University. During this time I have completed a professional certificate in portraiture and a professional diploma in portrait photography along with professional development courses throughout these years to continually push new skills with lighting, digital manipulation and storytelling.

I use 2 professional level Canon set ups of cameras and lenses along with industry standard editing, workflow and management software. A full studio’s worth of equipment including lighting, flash, backdrops, props etc

There are lots of options when it comes to finding a photographer to capture your family.

I believe I am an expert in my field, I excel at creating timeless images full of natural expressions and emotion. Trusted by thousands of families over the last 15+ years, clients come back time after time to update their family images with me.

However…

If you get to the viewing stage and don’t like the images I will refund your session fee. No questions asked. (This hasn’t happened yet)

Yes, I am fully insured for public liability.

This isn’t strictly necessary but it gives total peace of mind.

Service questions

This fee covers the cost of the photography session at your home, on location or a Norwich studio. There isn’t a time limit for a session but they usually last an hour or two. The aim will always be to create a varied selection of images to choose from. Input from you on this is very welcome. After the session a 2nd appointment will be booked to view the final show where images and products can be chosen & ordered. Prices of framed images and canvases start from £100 and go to £595 for the massive ones.

I have a full range of professionally printed & hand made frames available in lots of finishes and colours. In addition, albums & digital galleries are also very popular choices

Very few clients know what they want to order before seeing the images. I believe seeing the final show presented professionally shows the images in their best light. This way, you can discuss the options before committing to a certain package before booking.

There is no catch, if you love the images – which is highly likely – you buy them.

It entirely depends on your budget and requirements.

I’m confident there is something for almost every budget.

Most clients will fall in love with the whole show and pick a few to be printed and framed. I have options from small to massive finished products that will suit different places at home. Have a think about where you may like to put some images and measure your walls. The prices range from £100 – £595 for the massive finished pieces. Payment can be made by card or cash and is due at the time of ordering. Monthly payments may also be available for your order.

Session Questions

Yes of course, all images are taken in colour. Some images will work better in colour, some in black and white. The digital download package will include the colour versions of any b&w images for no additional cost (they have already been edited) Canvas and framed images can be specified in either.

Usually sessions will take around 1-2 hours. This is plenty of time to get everyone warmed up to being in front of the camera, capture all the family groupings, create variety in the final show and use some props in the images. It also allows time to change clothes if needed.

Traditional portrait photography, where clients are posed and rigid is not really my specialty. I prefer to work in a relaxed, free flowing way adapting to what’s happening in front of me and capturing natural expressions along the way. This style works especially well for children that thrive on interaction and play. This is not to say there is no structure. I am used to directing clients (adults and kids) to create spontaneous moments that capture their personalities.
